Any artists interested in helling to create a webcomic?
Let’s try this again shall we? The last try seemed to end in a dead end.
…
I’m an avid reader of webcomics, and as luck would have it, a writer. Now, after spending three years reading the things, it’s only natural that I wish to actually contribute and create one. Unfortunately, there’s a small problem. I can’t draw. At all. It’s horrible. What I’m thinking of right now is something of a fantasy-type comic (Just what the world needs, another one). Kinda. It’s…complicated, and still in planning stages (Obviously). So, In case I didn’t make myself clear….I can’t draw. Therefore, I need someone who can and is willing to do a joint venture. I’m going to stop rambling now. Details can be discussed…
I have such amazing Ctrl + V skills, don’t you think?
And now for something new! If at all possible, I’d appreciate a link to…something showing some form of your artistic abilities.
Thank ye much.
I feel foolish, I mistyped "helping" That’ll make me look good…
Thanks, I appreciate the advice, but considering I’m sitting in my dorm right now…
Wow, that sounds good, I’m an artists whom is training to do comics. I ‘m still learning, but I wouldn’t mind to have a bit of practice. I would see it I can help depending on the style of comic. :3
Your best bet would be to learn how to draw. I can give it a test drive with you though.
Lending non-cash collateral for bank financing in Joint-venture?
I’m partnered with someone in a joint venture. we need additional working capital (cash), and i’m thinking of lending collateral from my own private wealth (non-cash) to be used to draw money from the bank. the monthly payment back to the bank will be by the joint venture itself.
The fund shall be all paid back in five years, subsequently returning the collateral to me as the rightful owner then.
The collateral has no immediate cash value otherwise, but what kind of monthly compensation (or "rent" for lack of a better term) would be reasonable for me to draw for lending it to the joint venture? wouldn’t be fair to charge like bank loan because it’s not a ‘cash’ loan, or would it?.
Investments from both shareholders are already in place in the beginning of venture. Now I’m the only one putting up additional collateral. And there has to be some sort of fee since won’t be solely mine for next five years?
NONE, the ‘rental value’ of the collateral is your INVESTMENT in the joint venture. If you can’t accept those terms, you shouldn’t be putting the item up as collateral.
Private equity funds and joint ventures?
What’s the difference between a private equity fund and a joint venture? Are they interrelated? Does one invest in the other? Thanks!
The two have nothing to do with each other.
A joint venture is any time 2 entities join together to form one entity, I use the term entity because while itusually is two companies this does not have to be the case. The new entity is separate from the original 2 entities but is owned by them. As an expamle several years ago Sone wanted into the cell phone handset business and Ericson was having technology problems i their cell phine handset division. The two companies decided that they could compete better together so they formed a joint veture owned by both of them called Sony Ericson to make handsets. Ericson is still a separate company that make such things as network infrastructure components. Sony is still a separate company that makes consumer electronics. The JV company is a jointly owned company that makes handsets.
A private equity fund is a partnership, this is the usual legal structure but I am sure there are other ways to set them up, that will buy out companies completly sometimes in a Joint venture with other companies or privaste equity funds with the aim of somehow unlocking hidden value. This could be by changing the way the company operates, how it is financed, changing managment, or spliting the company into smaller pieces, and even at times merging them with another company. Whatever the method the aim is to make a stronger, more competitive, and more valuable companies. Private equity funds also find small companies that are already in good shape but need financing to grow they may but these companies or part of them with the same aim of making them stronger, and more competitive this is usually by providing the financial backing the company needs to grow but can not get on its own.
Just a brief description of each but I hope this helps
Are there any Division 1 football schools that field a Junior Varsity team also?
I know some of the smaller schools have JVs, but is there any Div 1 teams that also have jvs? I dont think so, but I may be wrong. Thanks.
I think all of the Military Academies (Army,Navy, and Air Force) have JV teams. I do remember watching the Army and Navy squads hooking up one night.
