But when I go to Properties, it says it’s a "Windows Media (TM) Video File" so why won’t it play? Am I saving it the wrong way. This is the first time I have done this. Please help : )
it’s a .wmv

first we need to know what the file extension is. in windows (xp) go to "tools > folder options > view" then uncheck "hide file extensions" then go check the file & you’ll see its extension. post it here

wmv should play in win media players just fine. try right clicking on the file > open with > windows media player.
if it doesn’t work try the free vlc player from www.videolan.org

another possibility is it wasn’t fully transferred to your pc. try copying it again from your cam
