Over 250 JVS supporters came together with community and business leaders at the 6th Annual JVS Spring Gala to celebrate our clients’ progress toward self-sufficiency, career development, and to honor local employers and organizations that support JVS mission of empowering individuals from diverse communities find employment and build careers.

Attendees included Governor Deval Patrick, City Council President Mike Ross, Secretary of Labor & Workforce Development Joanne Goldstein, Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz, Exec. Director of MORI Richard Chacon, and Consul General of Israel to New England Nadav Tamir. This year’s gala honored our outstanding employer partner, Hebrew SeniorLife and its CEO, Len Fishman with the 2010 Business Leadership Award; and recognized Temple Beth Shalom in Needham with the Community Innovator Award. We also had the pleasure of hearing first-hand accounts of the significant accomplishments of two jvs All-Stars, LaTarsha Johnson, Licensed Practical Nurse at Hebrew SeniorLife; and Glenn Stern, Administrative Director of the Center for Cancer Systems Biology at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center.
